For almsot two decades, we’ve been at the forefront of integrating art, community engagement, and social advocacy. We specialize in large-scale, impactful projects that bridge the gap between art and social change. Our work includes collaborations with nonprofits, government entities, and community organizations to create transformative experiences and cultural programs that foster dialogue, healing, and empowerment.
As the for-profit extension of my personal artistic practice and nonprofit endeavors, Niki Lopez Creative works in harmony with What’s Your Elephant™, a 501(c)(3) arts and educational organization I founded. While What’s Your Elephant™ focuses on creating safe spaces to address unspoken topics through art, Niki Lopez Creative provides professional services that amplify this mission on a broader scale.

Echoes of Empathy: Navigating the Baker Act Through Art
An innovative art exhibition highlighting the intersection of mental health and social justice. Curated by Niki Lopez and powered by What’s Your Elephant™, this project showcases diverse artworks from local artists while facilitating crucial conversations about the Baker Act’s impact on youth and families. Through interactive installations, community engagement activities, and educational programming, the exhibition fosters empathy and advocacy, empowering participants to address unspoken issues.
Aya Arts Project
A community arts engagement and acquisition initiative in partnership with HACFL—the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale—and Atlantic Pacific Communities. The project involved:
- Community Engagement: Facilitating connections between artists and the community.
- Art Acquisition: Commissioning and acquiring 53 works of art for a 9-story building.
- Placemaking: Enhancing communal spaces through art.
- Virtual Chats: Hosting five virtual discussions on topics like Black and Indigenous legacies.
Sankofa Arts Project
A cultural preservation and community engagement project at the L.A. Lee YMCA/Mizell Community Center. Curated and programmed by Niki Lopez Creative & What’s Your Elephant™, the project aimed to:
- Celebrate Rich Histories: Preserving the culture and legacy of the Sistrunk community.
- Commission Permanent Artworks: Curating artists to create works based on historical research.
- Community Engagement: Involving local voices through virtual chats and discussions.
- Placemaking: Creating a sense of belonging and identity within the community center.
